Dear Colleagues,

please find attached the list of the proposals that were
received for the IERS Combination Pilot Project (CPP) as well
as a table with the major contributions planned by the
different institutions.

The proposals are available on-line under the address:

I would like you to have a look at the proposals and
give any comments that might be important before
formally accepting the proposals. In general I am in favor
of accepting all the proposals. In one or the other case,
the contribution is not totally clear and it might also be
in the wrong category of contributions. Therefore I put
together a list of comments and questions concerning
the proposals, that I think should be clarified.

Please send your comments not later than Friday, March 26, 2004
noon. I am looking forward to your remarks and I will
then send e-mails to the various institutions.

Attention: The meeting of the IERS WG on Combination and
the IERS CPP in Nice will be held on

      Thursday, April 29, 2004, 8:30 - 10:30
      Gallieni 1 - Rhodes (2nd floor)

I hope that this is ok for all of you, because the geodesy sessions
start at 11:00 only. An agenda for the meeting will follow soon.

Finally, after the feedback I got concerning the naming conventions
I propose the modified convention given in the attachment.
Please comment.

The IERS database is being prepared these days for the
SINEX and report files from the IERS CPP.
