                  IERS CONVENTIONS TO BE PUBLISHED IN AUGUST

      The IERS Conventions (1996) are now ready for publication. 
The TeX files and the associated software are available by
anonymous ftp.  

      To get any of these files you may ftp to

               maia.usno.navy.mil (192.5.41.22) and 

               cd conventions.  

      The master document is called ierscon.tex while the chapter
TeX files are separated into subdirectories by chapter.  

      Also, associated software is included in the chapter subdirectories.
