The International DORIS Service (IDS) is an international service that provides support, through DORIS data and products, to geodetic, geophysical, and other research and operational activities. Since July 1, 2003, the International DORIS Service has been officially established as an IAG Service following the decision of the IAG Executive Committee at the IUGG General Assembly in Sapporo.
Within the framework of the IERS, the IDS contributes to the realization and maintenance of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF) and to the determination of Earth Orientation Parameters (EOPs).
