How does the new TEO differ from the old origin of longitude on the true equator?
The TEO is defined symmetrically with the CEO on the true terrestrial equator perpendicular to the CIP on the Earth. The old origin of longitude lacked a precise definition and did not include the consequences of integrated polar motion.
