Please note that this IERS component ceased operation in 2009.
Within the IERS Global Geophysical Fluids Center the Special Bureau for Tides (SBT) is an effort of the GSFC Laboratory for Terrestrial Physics at NASA's NASA Goddard Space Flight Center to provide data on tides relevant to the study of the Earth's variable rotation. The special bureau devotes primary emphasis to the effects of oceanic tides, with additional information as necessary to the effects of Earth tides and atmospheric tides.
