File naming conventions:
The naming conventions to be considered by the IERS Working Group on Combination are described in the document SINEX Naming Conventions for the IERS Combination Pilot Project (Second proposal) (not accessible) [PDF, 61 KB] . In addition to the specification given for the technique code letter a V can be used for step 3 (validation) and a S can be used for step 4 (special combinations).
Since the participants of the Combination Pilot Project may provide the files also for the Technique Centers following their file naming conventions some files have to be renamed with respect to the above file naming conventions. Affected are the following files:

Structure of the ftp archive:
The structure of the ftp archive reflects the four general steps within the Combination Pilot Project (c.f. Call for Participation). Thus, the files are stored in the directories intra-technique, inter-technique, validation and special. In each directory the files are ordered by techniques contributing to the solution and by year.
